Halloween Recap

My neighborhood sucks when it comes to Halloween. It’s a nice neighborhood … on a quiet cul-de-sac, which may be part of the problem. But we got three (yes, 3) sets of trick-or-treaters last night, and one was before I got home from work. Which means I got to see two sets. And we were ready – we had three HUGE bags of candy when all we really needed was about 10 candy bars. But we didn’t want to run out and we both like chocolate so we thought we could either eat or pass off any leftovers on family/co-workers/passing motorists. And there are a good two inches left in my pants before they turn into tourniquets, so it’s all good. Little did we know we’d have a chocolate store left over.
That being said, I saw one of the top trick-or-treaters that I have ever seen. He could not have been more than 3 years old, dressed as Superman. I nearly gave him the whole bowl of candy. His mother reminded him to say thank you (kudos to you mom) and I could hear him as he walked away saying “That wasn’t so bad mom”. You, Superman, made my Halloween!

Nice finish to the alphabet!A belated happy birthday to you… to you.. :o)Superman sounds like a fine figure of a little fellow. We had zero trick or treaters here at the OAW, and like you, we’re left holding a big bag of chocolate..

We had hundreds- old and young and ran out of candy at 9pm. But we dressed up as eeyore and tigger and the kids loved it. Our favorite was a tiny spiderman- he could barely walk and said thank you- Very, very sweet…..
