Yesterday was rainy … cold … November. We are at the beach, helping to babysit the ark while my parents are away. It was nice – my two sisters and I got to spend time together, because you know, we NEVER get to do that (see Friday’s post). We got our hair cut (Helen cut hers all off which she hasn’t done for years), got caught up on the soap opera that is the lives of the people who work at the hair salon, made dinner together, and for the first time in a really long time, played a board game. Usually when we’re at the beach, we are eating late and our dinners tend to spread over a couple of hours as we sit and talk. By then we’re too tired to start a game. At home, we are usually working on blogs or things for the store, and again, no time. Which is too bad because I love playing board games. However, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m very competitive, so I am never relaxed about playing games.

Anyway, last night we had the time, and we played a couple games of Yahtzee. Being with your family allows you to be more uninhibited that with outsiders, or at least it does me. We would not accept a silent yahtzee – the louder the better. We may have startled the dog a couple of times, and he’s deaf! It was so much fun! and I won …. both games:) As I said – very competitive.
