NATIONAL TREASURE II

We gave brother #3 a year’s worth of movies for his birthday. Every month, for a year, we take him to a movie at the local theater. This is a wonderful present for us because all three of us are movie buffs and it gives us the ultimate excuse to go to the movies. We haven’t alway managed to get in one a month but we make up for it by going to two the next month.

Today, we went to National Treasure II. Our local movie theater is in the mall so you know you’re going to run into a lot of people. Choosing to go the Sunday between Christmas and New Years, when everyone is having their after holiday sales, is next to suicidal. There were so many people in that space, a large number with small children, all sure that their errands are much more important than yours.

But we got tickets and got into the theater and really enjoyed the movie. I don’t think it was as good as the first one, but the first was such a surprise. I never expected to like it as much as I did. This one, I had more expectations, so there was more to live up to. But it was lots of fun! And the icing on the cake? Good previews, including one for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

We plan on seeing National Treasure tomorrow (funny how the theaters are emptier on NYE). Glad to hear that folks are liking it.I saw Narnia on a plane ride and I loved it. I’ll definitely be checking out the next installment.
