In this time of uncertain viewership, casualties are already beginning to crop up. The first new TV show to hit the chopping block (or at least the first to impact my very important life) is The Ex-List, normally seen at 9PM on Friday nights. The plot is: a woman explores all of her past relationships after a psychic tells her she’s already dated her future husband. She is told she has one year to re-find her future husband otherwise she will spend the rest of her life single. From Wikipedia
As you may know, I have an extraordinarily hectic life-style (stop snorting Amanda & Helen) and yet I make time for this fun, light-hearted look at the dating scene. Does CBS take that into consideration when they unceremoniously cancel the show after only 4 episodes? I think not! Gone, without so much as a by-your-leave!

I wonder how much the cancellation has to do with poor ratings and how much with the rumor that it’s dangerously close the novel 20 Times a Lady by Karyn Bosnak? Whatever the reason, I’m sad to see it go. I thought that Elizabeth Reaser had a light, comedic touch and didn’t try to overplay the role, which is refreshing. But we’ll see her again soon, as Esme in Twilight and who knows? Maybe the show will continue showing overseas, much like Kidnapped from two years ago.
