I have these grand plans and ideas – I’m all set to go – and then I see this …

or this …

(who is presently chewing on my pant leg!) and all coherent thought goes out the window.

Whoever came up with the idea of having the week between Christmas and New Year off is a genius. After the busyness of December, taking a week to recuperate worked very well for me, especially since we had young ‘uns to introduce into the household. But I had such plans for that week! We were going to get our inventory more organized and do our year end count while getting everything into Quickbooks. We were going to get Christmas decorations put away and pictures rotated from rooms where we spend little time to the one(s) in which we can usually be found. We were going to watch Gilmore Girls from start to finish – all 7 seasons! And when we got a blue-ray player for Christmas (thank you very much, brother #3!), plans exploded to include all sorts of movies!

What I actually did do during vacation – we drove to Ohio and got these two hellions and learned their  schedule which includes going outside every fifteen minutes. But that’s okay – they are sooo worth it!

And they’ve been so helpful! They helped us take down the Christmas tree … one branch at a time. They’re really keeping us on our toes as far as picking up after ourselves. Anything left on the floor is fair game – whether it be a magazine, a pen, a cat’s favorite toy. And our tile floors have never been cleaner, especially in certain spots:)

We are learning as they do. As a matter of fact, we are all going back to school – puppy school that is – starting tomorrow night. I’m thinking they’re going to be training us as much as the puppies. It’s going to be “very interesting!” (in my best Arte Johnson voice)

Puppy school is good. I will tell you that the best thing you can do is crate train them. It has been a godsend with Jaser!
